Gizmo5 SMS messaging works by sending IM messages through our SMS gateway, which will convert your message to be sent to a mobile number. When sending your SMS message you can also choose to send your message as an email message at the same time as the SMS message.

It will then be sent to the mobile number on that contacts account profile or the number you specified when sending the message. Your recipient will receive the message in the standard SMS or email format.

You can also receive SMS replies on Gizmo5 mobile, receiving SMS replies on the desktop client will be available soon.

If you sent an email as well, the recipient can also reply to your email message directly and you will receive the reply in the desktop or mobile clients.
