Gizmo5 SMS Messaging is a unified way to communicate and reach your contacts when your contact is not online. You can now send your contacts an SMS message just by sending them an IM from your mobile or desktop Gizmo5 client. Contacts with this capability are identified by a Green Envelope presence indicator. The status message next to the contact will also be Fwd IM 2 SMS.
- To use Gizmo5 SMS Messaging, just start a chat session with this offline contact as you would with IM and begin typing your message.
- Upon sending the message, you will be prompted for the messaging type you would like to use.
- An example of what is displayed is shown below, enter 1 for SMS or choose one of the other methods.
- If your contact does not have a mobile number in their profile, you will be prompted to enter it in.
- The message will be received by your contact promptly.

4. Send IM - I will receive the IM next time I login
