1. Plug in the device to your router
2. Determined what IP address it uses by default by looking at the manual. In many cases it is 192.168.1.2
3. From a web browser on your computer go to: http://192.168.1.2 and a configuration screen should appear
4. Select Line 1 or Line 2
5. Change the SIP port to 5060
6. Set the proxy to: proxy01.sipphone.com
7. Set the Display name to your Gizmo ID and the password to your Gizmo password
8. Set the User ID to your Gizmo number, including the 1 on the start and then a 10 digit number beginning. Example: 17473334444
9. Scrolled to the bottom, hit Save
10. Plug your phone into either Line 1 or Line 2 (depending on what you configured)
11. Place a test call to the echo line: 1-747-474-3246
12. If you hear your own voice echoed back to you then your device is working. If the call does not complete double check the entries on each step.
If your IP is not the same as above, you may use the Linksys Interactive Voice Response System to determine what it is.
Be certain that the internet light is lit and the power is on and the phone is plugged into your Linksys PAP2
1. Pick up your handset and dial " * " 4 times.
2. Dial 110#
3. It will tell you your IP address. Write this down.
Then enter it into your IP address into your browser and follow steps 4-12 above.
